Privacy policy

This page explains what careerforgeai.trade and the CareerForge AI software do with personal information. It is a starting template. Review it and adapt it to your situation before you rely on it.

What is collected

The CareerForge AI plugin stores the information you enter into it: contact details, work history, education, skills, goals, personality notes, writing samples, the job postings you evaluate, and the documents generated for you. This data is stored in the database of the WordPress site where the plugin is installed.

Who can see it

Only administrators of this WordPress site can open the plugin screens. Generated PDFs are kept in a protected folder and are served only to a logged-in administrator.

AI providers

When you use an AI feature, the relevant parts of your profile and the job text are sent to the AI provider you configured (for example Anthropic or OpenAI), or to the endpoint you entered, using your own API key. Their handling of that data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The CareerForge AI developers do not receive this data.

Job boards

Searching sends your search keywords to the public job board services you select. Reading a posting sends a request to the site that hosts it.

Your API key

Your API key is encrypted before it is stored in the site database.

Your choices

You can download your profile as a JSON file and erase your profile and all tracked applications at any time from the plugin Settings screen.

Website visitors

The CareerForge AI theme does not add analytics or advertising trackers. It stores your light or dark mode choice in your browser’s local storage so the setting persists. Your host or other plugins may collect additional data.
